Plywood adds stiffness to walls and gives other trades something solid to fasten to. We install plywood sheathing on exterior walls and gables, and plywood backing where cabinets, equipment and fixtures need extra support.
Scope
We install panels with the right gaps, nailing or screw pattern and edge support, and we coordinate backing locations with the plans before drywall—so nothing has to be opened back up later.
Plywood or OSB on exterior walls, per drawings.
Sheathing at gable ends and roof transitions.
Backing panels for cabinets, handrails, TVs and equipment.
Installed where specified for rated assemblies and backboards.
